Being an avid reader, I has been written blogs, mostly about books, novels and cartoons, at bloggang.com, a Thai blog platform, since 2009. At first, it was for an online reading review challenge by a group of Thai readers in a Pantip Forum. However, I came to enjoy the exercise and did not look back since then.
Most of the writings were my notes on the books or the topics. They were not critique reviews but rather a collection of summary and opinions from a normal reader with technical background. As several novels and mangas have been serialised, I update blogs as the volumes were published, making the writing quite disjoint. While I would like to keep the in-progress characteristics in the Bloggang, the in-blog discontinuity was quite annoying. So, I modified the blog contents and published here at Blogspot as the final versions.
The blogs on books, novel and and manga were transferred to Th Mad Bookworm. The posts are organized by types of books, novels, mangas/cartoons (in Thai, Translated into Thai and in English) and nationality of the author as well as the history timeline for thoses with period setting.
I read quite a lot of period novels and cartoons, many of these propelled me to read more about the time in scholar non fiction books or articles. In short, reading historical novels and cartoons was a great and enjoyable method to expand my knowledge and critical thinking skills. Hence, I organized timelines for these books, fictions and cartoons which might be of interested to other readers.
My list of summary and reflection on movies, mostly on war films, were split to another blog Jackfrut-k Bloggang.
I like searching for information, particular in the internet. Another blog Th Mad Searcher contains some topics that I found interesting and would like to share. The English version is at Th Wild Searcher.
Another hobby of mine is the Pokemon Go. I noticed that there were hardly any writings in English by Thai trainers about this game. So, I shared my personal experience in another blog A Pokemon Go Trainer in Bangkok.
I also tried to improve my skills on writing and translating. Hence, another blog Jackfruit-k Translates on my translation of books, novels, short stories and others that are in public domain.
